Rossignol

Rossignol SKPR 2.0, the shoe for responsible walks made with the support of ACBC.

Since its inception in 1907, Rossignol’s heart has beat to the rhythm of the mountains. That’s why it’s natural that, after writing the history of alpine skiing equipment, the brand now accompanies enthusiasts in the mountains year-round with a complete range for outdoor sports. To discover that even in summer or autumn, those same slopes where you draw the most beautiful curves have a special charm.
At the heart of the offering are the new SKPR 2.0 shoes, ideal for walking, even fast, maybe with a few running steps, discovering nature. Because they are designed to respect it, nature.
Produced with recycled or plant-based materials, it is the heart of the new summer outdoor collection of the rooster brand.
The new shoes are made with responsible materials such as rPET, derived from recycled PET bottles after use, and Freebio rPU, from pre-consumer recycled factory scraps that are processed and reintegrated into a new product to reduce the use of virgin materials. The SKPR 2.0 shoes have achieved 50.36% eco-responsible input thanks to the use of organic and/or recycled materials in accessories (laces, gusset, sewing threads), lining, reinforcements, structures (insole, midsole, sole), and upper. In particular, the midsole is made using a bioplastic with a plant-based content derived from molasses, a by-product of the sugar cane industry (BIOEVA); the upper with a percentage of polyester derived from recycled plastic bottles (rPET); the outsole uses a compound produced from rubber production waste (ReRUBBER).
The entire process has been designed to minimize CO2 emissions and environmental impact, thanks to the close collaboration with ACBC (Anything Can Be Changed), a leading brand in consulting for the production of eco-responsible products, which collaborates with over 70 sportswear and fashion companies worldwide and each year contributes to reducing CO2 emissions by approximately one million shoes.
