Coccinelle Unveils New Collection in Collaboration with ACBC.

Coccinelle, a company renowned for creating meticulously designed bags and accessories that keep pace with trends, with a distribution network in 44 countries, 120 mono-brand stores, and over 1,300 points of sale in prestigious department stores and multi-brand shops, presents a new collection in collaboration with ACBC.

ACBC, an Italian B Corp and Circular Science Company, is a leader in green B2B consulting as well as in the design and production of responsible footwear. Through this collaboration with ACBC, Coccinelle makes a significant step towards more sustainable choices. The new collection consists of three models of sneakers made using innovative and responsible materials.

The first model, C-CITY 365, is offered in two versions, with and without eco-fur lining. The second model, C-STYLE 70, is a retro-inspired sneaker. The third variant, C-RUN 01, gives a fresh take on the running shoe.

Materials used in creating the collection include rPET, derived from post-consumer recycled PET bottles; FreeBio rPU by ACBC, an alternative to leather made from recycled polyester fibers; and Rice HUSKS, obtained from the pre-consumer recycling of rice husk waste.

All the new sneakers feature laces made from 100% organic cotton and soles in recycled material, characterized by the presence of small flakes on the surface. The main upper is made of FreeBio rPU, and the details are in rPET.

The official launch date of the Coccinelle Roundabout x ACBC project, August 26, 2024, marks the beginning of a more conscious journey towards the use of responsible materials in the fashion industry.
