Sanremo, September 12, 2025 – ACBC (Anything Can Be Changed), a leading consultancy in sustainable innovation in the fashion & lifestyle sector, is creating the official merchandising for Challenge Sanremo, the prestigious triathlon race that will take place on September 20–21 in the iconic City of Flowers.
Challenge Sanremo (www.challenge-sanremo.com), an international triathlon event that is part of the prestigious global Challenge Family circuit and will this year be hosted by Portosole, will welcome 800 athletes from five continents and of all ages. Participation will be truly diverse, from the youngest athletes competing in youth races, to amateurs taking on the two proposed distances (middle and sprint) often accompanied by families and friends, and up to professional athletes fighting to carve their name into the Roll of Honor of the fourth edition of Challenge Sanremo.
The collection, designed to combine functionality, design, and environmental respect, includes two backpacks, a water bottle, a pair of sports sunglasses, and a visor cap. These accessories, available in a customized version dedicated to the triathlon event, will be given to all registered athletes as part of their race kit. All products have been developed using recycled and certified materials, in line with ACBC’s commitment to a more responsible future.
The first backpack is the Byron 18L Roll Top Laptop Backpack, made of GRS-certified recycled polyester: practical, durable, and water-repellent, it offers a spacious main compartment with a laptop pocket up to 15.6”, a front zip pocket, and two side pockets, as well as padded, adjustable shoulder straps. Complementing the offer is the Reflective Backpack, in shiny 190T polyester, featuring an internal laptop compartment, padded back, external pocket, adjustable shoulder straps with chest strap and waist belt; also water-repellent, it is designed to ensure safety and practicality in every situation.
The sports water bottle in RPET, with a one-liter capacity, comes with an integrated soft silicone straw, flip-top lid operable with one hand, safety lock, shoulder strap, and a motivational time display. The polarized sports sunglasses, with frames in RCS-certified recycled PC, come with a case in recycled RPET and an FSC®-certified gift box. The polarized lenses eliminate sun glare, ensuring maximum protection during sports and outdoor activities. Finally, the 175 g/m² cotton twill visor cap with adjustable closure offers a comfortable, breathable fit, combining sun protection with sporty style.
The project strengthens the bond between ACBC and the Ligurian region, highlighting how innovation and sustainability can go hand in hand even in sports.
Official Challenge Sanremo merchandising created by ACBC
“Being part of Challenge Sanremo has a special meaning for me, not only as an entrepreneur but also as a citizen of Sanremo. We wanted to offer participants merchandising that was functional, beautiful, and above all environmentally respectful. It’s a way to leave a tangible memory of the race, but also a sign of care for the future of our planet,” said Gio Giacobbe, CEO of ACBC.
“We found in ACBC a valuable partner who, in addition to providing us with a range of high-quality products, helps us carry forward the sustainable vision of a sporting event like triathlon which, by definition, is shaped by the environment where it takes place—between seas, lakes, hills, mountains, seafront promenades, and urban centers. We are confident that athletes will appreciate the design and quality of the accessory they receive with their race kit, the result of innovation mindful of environmental impact,” added Daniele Moraglia, Race Director of Challenge Sanremo.
