ΛCBC Code of Ethics for Diversity and Inclusion
Foreword
At ACBC, we firmly believe that diversity is a fundamental resource for innovation, growth, and sustainable success. Diversity is not just a goal but an ongoing commitment to creating a work environment where each individual can freely express their uniqueness and contribute to the organization’s progress. Our Code of Ethics for Diversity and Inclusion is based on principles of fairness, inclusion, and respect for differences, which form the pillars of our corporate culture.
Core Principles
Our approach to diversity and inclusion is guided by a set of fundamental principles:
- Respect for Differences: We recognize and value individual differences, including but not limited to ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, physical and mental abilities, experiences, and thought styles.
- Equity and Opportunity: We are committed to ensuring equal opportunities for professional development and growth for all our employees, regardless of their identity or background.
- Social Responsibility: Diversity and inclusion extend beyond the internal context of the company to encompass our relationships with society and the communities in which we operate. We promote inclusion in our social responsibility initiatives as well.
Non-Discrimination
ACBC rejects all forms of direct or indirect discrimination. This principle applies to all stages of the employment relationship, from recruitment to career progression, training, and task assignment. Any form of discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, marital status, disability, or any other personal characteristic is strictly prohibited
Inclusion and Accessibility
Our goal is to ensure an inclusive and accessible work environment that promotes active participation from every individual. This includes removing barriers that prevent the participation of people with disabilities and providing accessibility solutions, including through technological tools and flexible work arrangements. Inclusion also involves fostering a corporate culture open to dialogue, where every employee can freely express themselves and feel heard and respected.
Gender Equality
Promoting gender equality is a cornerstone of our commitment to diversity. We strive for balanced gender representation at all levels of the company, adopting policies to promote female talent and counter gender stereotypes. We support concrete initiatives to reduce the gender gap, such as implementing flexible work policies, mentoring programs for women, and establishing leadership parity goals.
Valuing Cultural Differences
At ACBC, we recognize that multiculturalism is an asset. We actively promote cultural diversity and encourage open dialogue among individuals from different cultures. This not only enriches our work environment but also enhances our ability to meet the needs of global markets.
Prevention and Addressing Harassment
Any form of harassment, abuse, or intimidating behavior is unacceptable at ACBC. We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful work environment where every employee feels protected from abuse or discrimination. We adopt prevention measures and provide reporting channels to allow individuals to report inappropriate behavior, ensuring confidentiality and prompt action.
Continuous Development and Training
We believe that training is a key tool for promoting an inclusive culture. Therefore, we offer continuous training programs on diversity and inclusion, aimed at raising awareness of unconscious biases and promoting inclusive behaviors. Training also covers the specific skills necessary to manage diversity within teams and in relationships with customers and suppliers.
Accountability and Transparency
ACBC promotes personal and collective accountability in creating an inclusive environment. Every employee is responsible for respecting and promoting the principles of diversity and inclusion. Additionally, we are committed to continuously monitoring our progress on inclusion through internal assessment tools and employee climate surveys. We also promote transparency by regularly communicating the results achieved and the areas we aim to improve, both within the company and to external stakeholders.
Inclusion of Partners and Suppliers
Our diversity policy extends to our business partners and suppliers. We expect our partners to share our values of inclusion and respect by adopting policies and practices that promote diversity within their organizations. Through the selection of suppliers and partners, we encourage inclusive and sustainable practices, contributing to spreading a culture of diversity throughout our value chain.
Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives
To strengthen our commitment, ACBC has launched a series of initiatives aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion:
- Mentoring programs to foster the development of talent from diverse backgrounds.
- Social inclusion projects in local communities, with particular attention to vulnerable groups.
- Collaboration with non-governmental organizations and associations that promote diversity and human rights.
Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
ACBC’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is ongoing and evolving. We constantly monitor the effectiveness of our policies through internal evaluation tools and employee feedback. The data collected is used to improve our practices and develop new initiatives to further strengthen inclusion.
Long-Term Commitment
Our vision for the future is to continue to be an inclusive company, where diversity is celebrated and every individual can realize their potential. This commitment is part of our long-term strategy to create a work environment that is not only more equitable but also contributes to a fairer and more inclusive society.
